My Training Corner
About Me.
Hi there, I'm Yu-Chen from Taiwan. You may just call me Sandy. I have a master's degree in MSc Education (Learning, Technology, and Society) from University of Bristol, UK, and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan.

Back in the days when I was working in the UK, several feedback hit me hard:

' I want to be another Lin.'

This sentence meant a lot to me when one of the residents mentioned it to me with my nickname in it. By that time, she was thinking about applying for a position with one of my previous employers and asking for my advice.

Looking back, this sentence was short but powerful to me, reminding me that I must have done something right.

I also got hit by a similar feedback from a senior long-term resident:

'You have made a big difference in my life and the hostel! I do not know what you plan to do, but whatever it is, you will be a success!'

To be honest, I have never worked as a full-time instructional designer and e-learning developer as a formal job. However, I always tried to support others and initiate relevant projects in-house to support corporate training apart from completing my own personal job duties. And these are nearly where all of my projects come from, apart from several online courses and communities.

I am grateful that I received feedback such as the following from my previous line managers:

-
'Thank you for displaying such a big passion to make things better! I value your dedication massively! You should be extremely proud of yourself and your skills!'
-
'I know you will miss me, but you should really work in training and development instead of doing your current job. Believe me, and you would thank me one day!'
-
'We appreciate your dedication and efforts in supporting our initiatives. We want to express our gratitude for your active participation and hard work at the company. Your commitment has been invaluable, and we sincerely wish you every success in your future endeavours!'
-
'Thank you for your support towards the company and for being accountable'
Throughout these past years, I learned more about resilience, negotiation, and stakeholder management in different industries, including hospitality, food & beverage, retail, edtech, tutoring, and teaching assistance.

I gradually found myself as a strategic business transformer and learning operations architect with a proven record of stabilising operations, enhancing workforce performance, and driving cultural transformation. Skilled in LearnOps, instructional design, and change management methodologies (Lewin, ADDIE), I build systems that align training, HR, and operations to deliver measurable business impact.

I am also recognised for translating organisational pain points into sustainable solutions that improve efficiency, engagement, and long-term results. In August, 2025, I have also published the HR LearnOps Framework on my Medium blog.
I bring a rare blend of front-line experience, corporate training design mindset, strategic foresight, and interpersonal intelligence, with the belief that leadership is not only about titles, but could bring a significant impact when combined with a management role with action, empathy, and accountability.

Currently, I am seeking an opportunity to leverage expertise in LearnOps to drive workforce transformation in HRM or corporate training roles worldwide, ideally in Taiwan or in the UK. I have also passed the examination for the Fundamental Human Resources Management Training Program from CHRMA, an HR institution in Taiwan.

As always, thank you very much for your time, and I look forward to connecting with you soon!
